Collated complete. This work is the first volume in Kegan Paul's 'British Empire' series and provides detailed information on the various colonies, settlements and countries that formed the British Empire during the time of publication. Most of the information and papers included in this work were first given as lectures and have been contributed by a host of writers.Advertisements to the rear. In the publisher's original cloth. Externally smart with fading to the spine, marks to the boards and spine, bumping and slight rubbing to the extremities, slight rubbing to the joints, and a very small closed tear to the head of the spine. Scattered spotting and light offsetting to the endpapers. Hinges starting after the front and rear blanks. Internally generally firmly bound with slight strain in places. Pages bright and generally clean with the odd spot, heavier to the front. Newspaper articles neatly placed inside the front. A single closed tear to each of the folding plates. Very Good .
